The Real Younghusbands

This lovely article by Carla Bianca Ravanes turned me into a pile of goo. How cute are the Younghusband brothers?

 My favorite parts:

“Philip was a bully,” quipped James, 24, the older Younghusband brother almost at the same time Phil, 23, said, “James was like Harry Potter.”
Phil was quick to defend himself, “I was more that annoying little kid who wouldn’t stop moving around the classroom. I was very active; even now I can’t sit down without doing something. I was always out of my seat, always talking. I was really fidgety. I was always on the move but James was more the reserved [one]; I was the outgoing loud type.”
James agreed, “I was more quiet, you know, you get the groups like the jocks, the goth … I wasn’t really part of any of them. I worked my way [from] group to group.” He also shared his particular attention to detail, attributing his need for neatness as the reason why he was considered the teacher’s pet. “My notes were neat and tidy so they were quick to assume that I got all the answers correctly.”
He also points out that they never really do anything apart, acknowledging themselves as one package.
“If you invite Phil you invite James, if you invite James, you have to invite Phil,” he explained.

When asked what Filipino traits they quickly picked up, James gamely says his love for “pancit,” while Phil, more seriously revealed: “It’s [my] protective instinct and focus on family. I’m always thinking of my family rather than myself; at least I’d like to think I am.”

When the subject of football was brought up, the boys were instantly charged with an obvious passion that was easily contagious, “Have we got 10 hours to talk about it?” James jokingly inquired.

James. You can talk about football with me for ten hours. In fact you can talk about football with me for the rest of our lives.
